Small Bathroom Remodeling in Dallas, TX
Guest baths, hall baths and powder rooms — the most contained remodel in the house, and often the one that changes a buyer's impression the most.
Making a small bathroom feel considered
Small bathrooms benefit from restraint. The techniques that genuinely work:
- A wall-hung vanity. Seeing floor continue underneath makes the room read larger, and it makes cleaning trivial.
- Running the floor tile into the shower so there's no visual break at the threshold.
- A recessed niche instead of a caddy — nothing protruding into a room this size.
- A larger mirror than feels necessary, ideally wall-to-wall, with light beside it rather than above it.
- A pocket or outward-opening door where the swing is eating the floor area.
- Fewer materials. One tile, one metal finish, one timber tone. Small rooms show every extra decision.
Powder rooms are the exception
A powder room has no shower, no ventilation problem to solve and almost no square footage — which makes it the one room where you can be bold without much risk or cost. Dark paint, a patterned floor, a statement basin, proper wallpaper. It's the cheapest place in the house to do something people remember.

What it costs, and what it returns
Small bathrooms are the most predictable projects we quote — there's less area, less demolition and less to go wrong behind the walls.
| Project | Typical range | Timeline |
|---|---|---|
| Powder room refresh | $6,000 – $12,000 | 1 – 2 weeks |
| Guest / hall bath, same layout | $14,000 – $28,000 | 2 – 4 weeks |
| Guest bath with tub-to-shower conversion | $14,000 – $28,000 | 2 – 3 weeks |
